Eating vegetables every day adds two years to your life, research has shown. A study of more than 1,500 middle-aged men found those who eat 60 grams of vegetables a day live longer than those who eat less than 20g a day. The benefits for smokers are even more impressive, with a healthy diet extending their life expectancy by just over two years.
